NG’IPALAJEM’s partner institutions
The Turkana Basin Institute was founded by Richard Leakey in 2007 to support palaeoanthropological research in the Turkana Basin of Kenya. It has two field stations – at Ileret, on the West side of the lake, and at Turkwel, on the West side of the lake.
The National Museums of Kenya, known as NMK, is a multi-disciplinary institution whose role is to collect, preserve, study, document and present Kenya’s past and present cultural and natural heritage.
